- Professor of Prosthodontics - Dental School of the Fluminense Federal University (UFF) at Nova Friburgo, RJ, since 2007
- Chairman of the Center for Sustainable Dentistry at UFF, since 2011
- Head of the Brazilian Delegation at ISO/TC106 - Dentistry, since 2009
- Chairman of the Academy of Dentistry International - ADI Chapter Brazil
- FDI representative at the Rio+20 UN Summit and Conference on Sustainable Development in 2012
- Consultant for FDI Science Committee, from 2009 to 2017
